More About Me
As she loves people ideally Zara would like someone home more often than not but she will learn to cope alone. She should be ok for full time workers as long as she is a central focus when you are home.
She would love gentle kids to play with but this is not essential. As Zara is still a puppy she doesn’t quite know her own weight and may unintentionally knock over small children.
Zara will need some training but she is smart and learns quickly.
She does not need to be the only permanent dog in the home.
As Zara is people orientated she needs to be part of family activities.
Zara will not suit homes with residents that are very young, frail, elderly, renters or time poor.
Medium - playful and moderately active (can miss a daily walk).
When ON a lead ...
Like most dogs she starts off pulling but settles.
When OFF a lead ...
Zara is usually good when off the lead and comes back when called but could use more training to ensure she returns when called.
Type of Yard Required
Medium to large grassy, interesting and secure yard where she can play with her ball. Zara loves to chew on her touch toys. Shoulder height fencing is ok.
Tolerance to Being Alone During the Day
She will alert to something strange but is not currently a nuisance barker.
Zara will suit any of the following:
She is fine for half the day without people but then becomes anxious,
Likes, Dislikes, Fears, Endearments and Quirks
Zara is a kind and loving dog. All she wants to do is please people, give cuddles and loves meeting new friends. She is warm, friendly and playful - sometimes stealing a sock and making a game of it.
While she is growing out of it she can sometimes get car sick. Meanwhile, a bandanna sprayed with Adaptil calming spray works well.
She loves animal antlers from the pet shop and they last her a long time.
She likes walks and playing with her ball outside. As long as she gets attention she will love you forever.
