Why is it hard for me to rehome my own dog?

  • Scammers are smooth, persuasive and well rehearsed. Risks include:
    • dog fighting rings,
    • on-selling,
    • separating bonded pairs,
    • inside dogs banished to sleeping outside etc
  • Objectivity is compromised with emotions or time pressures
  • Time consuming and daunting sifting through potential adoptees for popular dogs
  • Few quality applicants for older, less poplar dogs leading you to compromise
