More About Us
Likes, Dislikes, Fears, Endearments and Quirks
This adorable bonded pair are obedient, affectionate, active, outdoorsey and loyal. Super fit and healthy too. Lola is everything you would expect of a labrador, kelpie, staffy cross. People orientated, gentle, outdoorsey, active and affectionate. She'll collect and bring treasures to her owner (a leaf, a flower) and is a steadfast companion. Lola doesn't like people shouting or being separated from Ziggy. She is very affectionate and will gladly hop on a lap for cuddles. Ziggy is gentle with his family, smart and loves to explore nature. Ziggy is a typical Weimaraner - highly athletic with a lot of energy who brings an air of elegance wherever he goes. Though they are active and require a lot of outdoor time, Weimaraners expect to interact closely with the family and soak up as much affection as they can get. Deny this and you will have a very unsettled doggy. Those who know the breed understand Weimaranas have a natural prey drive toward small animals such as cats, birds and rabbits. They need an owner who can provide leadership, socialisation and training beyond the beginner level. As Ziggy has been attacked several times he is nervous around other strange dogs and tries to scare them away. He is better with dogs he knows. Another Weimaraner trait. Both thrive on exercise which maintains their good behaviour and happy, funny, cheery dispositions. Both are very well (professionally) trained. Their vocabularies are broad and they respond to all the usual commands and more. Ideal Owner Couch potatoes look elsewhere. They will suit active singles or couples home more often than not looking for obedient, loyal and affectionate companions. They have not had any exposure to kids so we recommend any are at least 12 years and only if gentle and calm around dogs. No dogs deserve to be rough housed or exposed to a loud, chaotic environment. Ziggy and Lola will not suit homes where people live in very close proximity to each other with small outside areas e.g. villas, units, apartment complexes, terrace houses, strata complexes etc. As the dogs are people orientated they need to be part of family activities. They will not suit homes with residents that are:

Tolerance to Being Alone During the Day
Will alert to something strange but are not currently nuisance barkers although Ziggy will bark at a passing dog if he can see it. The dogs will suit any of the following:
Exercise Requirements Medium to high - playful and moderately active. Ziggy loves and needs to run and has a little more energy than Lola. As Lola prefers to sniff and explore it works best if the dogs are allowed off lead - see movies above. When ON a lead ... Like most dogs they start off pulling but settle. Ziggy is also strong. When OFF a lead ... Their recall is pretty good unless there are distractions. Type of Yard Required
Contractural Note Cannot be separated after adoption in accordance with the Dog Adoption Terms and Conditions. Dog Adoption may ask for updates from time to time. Reason for Rehoming/History Been very well looked after since they were puppies - which is why they are so fit and healthy. Regrettable, but unavoidable rehoming as owner must move into an apartment. |
