Teddy and Barneys'  Profile

Generally.
Teddy and Barney (a 'Moodle') are wonderful company for each other and cannot be separated – they are a bonded pair. Both are loyal and affectionate with their human family and will thrive with folks who will return the love.

Cuddly, calm and with great recall at the park, Teddy and Barney will also entertain you when they play with each other.

Ideal home.
Teddy and Barney will appeal to many people. They will be best suited in a home with older kids, active empty nesters or retirees – especially if looking for low maintenance furry companions.  Above all your lifestyle will need to accommodate dogs that are encouraged to be involved with family activities.  Your home will need to be calm, relatively quiet and have a routine.

These dogs will not suit homes where residents are young, frail, elderly or time poor.

Other dogs?
Both are good with other dogs. When meeting new furry friends they take about 30 mins to settle and warm up. Teddy is small and can be frightened by large dominant dogs that try to intimidate or stand over him. In this situation he may snap at the bossy dog.

Cats?
No.

Kids?
Any kids need to be 15 yrs or older and only if gentle and calm around animals.

Size.
Teddy 6 kgs. Barney 9 kgs.

Exercise requirements?
Teddy likes short strolls or playtime at home. Barney is a little more active. They love daily adventures to the park but will forgive you if you miss a day.

How are these dogs on a lead?

Like most dogs they start off pulling but settle down.

How are these dogs off the lead?
The dogs usually stay close by and come when called although Teddy is a little more reliable than Barney.

Escape artist?
No. We always recommend a secure yard regardless.

Nuisance barker or destructive?

Home comings are met with excited barking but for the most part they are quiet. They are not destructive.

Toilet trained?

Yes.

Tolerance to being alone.

A long as they have each other they are fine.

Likes.
Teddy and Barney love playing with each other and also their human family. Chew toys, walks and cuddles are also top on the list. The beach is also a favourite as you can see by the movies attached here.

Dislikes.
Teddy is afraid of big dogs. He also needs soothing during thunderstorms and will want to climb onto your lap looking for reassurance.
