More About Me
Likes, Dislikes, Fears, Endearments and Quirks
Smart, affectionate, playful, inquisitive and eager to please, Sophie's puppy like charm endears her to everyone who meets her.
While quick to learn, she can also be stubborn and single minded - typical of the breed.
In the safety of home Sophie is confident and happy - loves playing football and snuggles down at the same time every night.
Sophie is defensive around other dogs. Hence, she should stay on a lead.
This adorable girl will have long conversations with you and indicates when she needs to go out.
Sophie is frightened of water.
Already had successful entropion surgery which has resolved potential irritation to the eyes, typical of the breed.
Active singles or couples looking for a young, happy and affectionate companion - a commitment to some ongoing training to ensure Sophie continues to make progress.
Sophie is playful around kids and only tends to get overexcited when adults come home. We always recommend homes where any kids are at least 6yrs and only if gentle and calm around dogs. No dog deserves to be rough housed or exposed to a loud, chaotic environment.
She should be the only permanent dog in the home so she can have all the attention.
Sophie will not suit homes where people live in very close proximity to each other with small outside areas e.g. villas, units, apartment complexes, terrace houses, strata complexes etc.
As Sophie is people orientated she needs to be part of family activities.
Sophie will not suit homes with residents that are:
Tolerance to Being Alone During the Day
Will alert to something strange but is not currently a nuisance barker.
Sophie will suit any of the following:
Medium. Sophie requires daily good quality exercise and mental stimulation. Sophie could be a little 'pocket rocket' at the park.
When ON a lead ...
Like most dogs she is ok unless distracted. She is making progress very quickly.
When OFF a lead ...
Never been off the lead.
Type of Yard Required
Reason For Rehoming?
Despite best efforts Sophie is not a good fit for the seniors who recently adopted her from a shelter.
