More About Us
Likes, Dislikes, Fears, Endearments and Quirks
Good with dogs, kids, sweet, affectionate and ok for full time workers.

Puggles are intelligent, enthusiastic and curious. They possess irresistible charm and have wonderful personalities.

Pugs are a happy-go-lucky, vivacious, fun-loving breed, with loads of personality packed into a small package. Pugs are often called “shadows,” as they love to glue themselves to their owners’ sides and stay close to the action. While they do have a stubborn streak, but are not aggressive.

Both are chow hounds and will eat anything - this needs to be monitored.

Ideal Owner
Both breeds do best in homes where they receive plenty of attention and are treated like members of the family, and in turn, they offer heaps of devotion and affection.

Rocco and Jett are ok for full time workers (9am-5pm) as long as they are a central focus when people are home.

While they are great with kids they can jump up when excited. We recommend kids be 12 yrs or older and only if gentle and calm around dogs. They do not like being rough housed and don't like the chaos of a young family.

They will not suit homes where people live in very close proximity to each other with small outside areas e.g. villas, units, apartment complexes, terrace houses, strata complexes etc.

As Rocco and Jett are people orientated they need to be part of family activities.

They will not suit homes with residents that are:
  • very young, frail, elderly,
  • renters or
  • time poor.
Tolerance to Being Alone During the Day
Will alert to something strange but are not currently nuisance barkers.

They will suit any of the following:
  • someone home more often than not.
  • someone that works from home.
  • part time workers as long as someone is home more often than not.
  • empty nesters.
  • active retirees.
  • full time workers (9am-5pm) as long as they are a central focus when folks are home.

Exercise Requirements
Low - short strolls or playtime at home.

When ON a lead ...
Like most dogs they start off pulling but settle.

When OFF a lead ...
Rocco tends to take off and won't come back. Jett's recall is a little better but not reliable.

Type of Yard Required
  • Medium to large interesting and secure.
  • May take advantage of an open gate and wander off but does not  usually try and escape.
  • Ok with shoulder height fencing .
