More About Dexter
Dexter has a great sense of humour and is very entertaining. He is also very loyal and has a great personality. Fantastic companion.
Dexter will thrive in a large secure and interesting yard or on on acreage or on acreage as long there is an area with adequate fencing.
He needs regular walking and because he is very smart, plenty of things to keep him occupied. As Dexter also loves cuddles his new one will need to be affectionate.
As Dexter needs some training around other dogs he will not suit novice dog owners. He needs a firm but kind owner and be the only dog in the home.
While he is fine alone during the day for full time workers he would prefer not to be alone for lengthy periods because he is very people orientated. Dexter should be fine around considerate, older kids.
Will not suit homes where residents are very young, frail, elderly, time poor or looking for a baby sitter for a lonely dog because the owners are rarely home.
Dexter needs a new home as he is not able to remain in the owner's rental plus he is not getting enough exercise or attention.
He has been pretty isolated and has not had a chance to socialise with other dogs. He has reacted to other dogs on a few occasions recently.
We recommend any kids be teenagers or older and only if gentle and calm around dogs.
Medium - playful and moderately active. Dexter needs to be walked so he can have an active mind and mental stimulation.
