PK

Jack Russell Terrier, Male 10 yrs young.

Not your usual high energy JRT.
Gentle, loyal lap-dog.

Arrange to meet pk
Located Lane Cove North, NSW 2066.
Not available for interstate adoption.

If listed here please be re-assured this dog is still available. After reading the profile below, if you would like to meet the dog please complete the Expression of Interest Form.

Other dogs?
Yes. He has lived with another dog all his life, however due to his submissive nature, any doggy companion will need to be quiet and gentle. He is not a dog who will play with other dogs. He prefers to be with his human friends.

Cats?
No.

Kids?
While PK is friendly, we recommend any kids be teenagers or older and only if calm, gentle and quiet otherwise PK will become intimidated and frightened.

Size.
8 kgs.

Exercise requirements?
He loves a walk but is equally happy to sit on your lap. As PK has always lived with older folks he is accustomed to short strolls or exploring the garden at home.

How is this dog on a lead?
He is usually well behaved, not exactly to ‘heel’, but very good. He tends to quickly come into line when prompted.

How is this dog off the lead?
Will stay close by and come when called.

Escape artist?
No.

Nuisance barker or destructive?
PK is quiet when someone is home but can get more vocal if left for long periods of time. He is not destructive.

Toilet trained?
Yes.

Tolerance to being alone.
PK will make a fantastic companion for someone home more often than not. Another dog for company will be no substitute for the love and affection of the humans he loves.

Likes.
PK adores cuddles and attention - he can't get enough ☺ . He simply loves human company.

Dislikes.
He hates being left alone and loud noises. He is not really a playful dog but more of a lap dog.

Ideal home.
PK is ideal for empty nesters, retirees or folks who work from home looking for a loving and loyal companion.

Ideally, he’d be happiest as the only dog so he can have your undivided attention in return for his unconditional loyalty. Since losing his devoted owners his carers have trained him not to jump up on the furniture, though sometimes he gets excited and forgets his manners :-)

PK will not suit homes with very young, frail, elderly or time poor residents.

Generally.
PK is very sweet, affectionate and a classic lap-dog who will happily take as much love and attention as you can give - especially if it’s in the form of a belly rub! He loves a good walk however, he’s not your typical high energy Jack Russell. He is equally happy to be by your side or snuggled in his bed while you watch TV. He doesn’t mind what you do, as long as you’re happy to have him tag around and spend quality time with you.

PK is happy to sit with you and is eager to please. He will take as much or as little exercise as you give him.

He is good with people once he gets over his shyness - hiding behind your feet until he feels safe and reassured.
