Kangaroo Dogs have great stamina and are known for their loyal, obedient nature.
As Ruby is a people orientated breed, she thrives on being with the humans she loves. She is affectionate and dependable.
Ruby loves to play with other dogs but her enthusiasm is not always met by the other dog. She becomes very excited and will chase other dogs, bark and generally let the world know she is ready to play. She also loves the river and the beach.
Ruby has a beautiful, sweet loving nature.
Active singles or couples with plenty of room looking for a happy, playful and loyal companion.
Ruby would like another friendly dog for company but this is not essential.
She can cope alone without people but prefers company - and will greet you with joyous enthusiasm.
While Ruby is good with kids we recommend homes where any kids are at least teenagers and only if gentle and calm around dogs. No dog deserves to be rough housed or exposed to a loud, chaotic environment.
Ruby will not suit homes where people live in very close proximity to each other with small outside areas e.g. villas, units, apartment complexes, terrace houses, strata complexes etc.
As Ruby is people orientated she needs to be part of family activities.
She will not suit homes with residents that are:
Tolerance to Being Alone During the Day
Will alert to something strange but is not currently a nuisance barker. Can be commanded to stop.
Ruby will suit any of the following:
High. Kangaroo dogs are typically very active and require daily exercise and mental stimulation.

When OFF a lead ...
