Please complete the Expression of Interest form if you wish to meet Hercules.
When eating food Hercules is gentle and you can even take food off him. He will also sit, shake hands and high five. Hercules is unsure of strangers but affectionate, loyal and playful with his family.
Hercules has been a cherished member of the family but is now homeless.
The kennel owner said he doesn't bark at them at all now he has settled in. He has also relaxed with his doggy neighbours and doesn't seem phased.
Hercules needs a medium to large secure yard. He is a big sook around his family and can forget his size while leaning in for a cuddle. He will not suit first time dog owners. He needs a firm but kind owner with the skills and time to continue the positive progress he is making around other dogs.
He will not suit residents who are young, frail, elderly or time poor.
Hercules is a gorgeous, smoochy dog with a big smile. He has lived with dogs before and is well behaved on walks when passing other dogss. Hercules is also ok with dogs in the kennel currently housing him.
As a precaution we recommend Hercules is an only dog.
Yes but as he might accidentally knock one over we recommend any kids be at least teenagers.
Medium - playful and energetic.
How is your dog on a lead?
Like most dogs he starts off pulling but settles down. As Hercules can also pull when he sees another dog he will not suit people with mobility issues or who are frail.
How is the dog off the lead?
His recall is not good.
No. However, we recommend all dogs have a secure yard.
Nuisance barker or destructive?
He is not currently a nuisance barker but will alert you to something strange.
Tolerance to being alone
Yes. However, preference will be given to homes where he does not spend extended periods of time without any company – we don’t want dogs sleeping their lives away because their owners are time poor.
Hercules loves getting out for walks and also playing tug of war.
He is pretty relaxed and chilled. but I guess no dog likes being ignore for long periods of time.
Special thanks to Michelle Morgan for her fantastic photos.
