If you would like to meet Harvey please complete the Expression of Interest form.
As Harvey is a very loyal, intelligent and affectionate dog he will thrive in a home where he is mentally stimulated with residents who are active plus also looking for a companion. Like most working breeds Harvey needs boundaries and rules. While he loves being active he is also a lap dog and will stay close by his owner. Harvey is very obedient and knows the boundaries of his designated area, will stop before crossing a road plus will sit and stay.
He also needs a medium to large yard or even better, acreage.
Harvey will not suit homes where residents are very young, frail, elderly or time poor.
Harvey has been well trained and follows many instructions. While he is a loyal and attentive dog, Harvey is not needy. As kelpie's are commonly regarded as 'loyal to their owner'' they routinely need time to settle into their new home.
Yes. He is a placid dog.
Never tested. We recommend a home without cats.
Yes but as Harvey might accidentally knock a small child over we recommend any kids be primary school aged or older.
Medium – Harvey is playful and energetic. Like most Kelpie breeds, Harvey needs daily exercise or he won’t relax at the end of the day. He can easily play fetch in the park for 30 minutes.

No. However, we recommend all dogs have a secure yard.
Nuisance barker or destructive?
