More About Me
Likes, Dislikes, Fears, Endearments and Quirks
Affectionate, smart, active, playful plus good with others dogs and kids, Lulu the 'Groodle' will have broad appeal.

Groodles (Golden Retriever Poodle Cross) have a calm and collected demeanour, are intelligent and adore human companionship. The Groodle is a dog who enjoys being active with its family but is also happy to chill out at home too.

Lulu is simply adorable and a pleasure to have around. Happy and accommodating she will shadow you around the garden or home to keep you company. Being active she is also fun to take out on adventures and is social with other dogs.

Lulu likes to 'counter-surf'  so be sure not to leave your dinner in a place she can reach:-)

Lulu loves people and being around her humans. She will always try to be at the centre of the family. She loves snuggles, big greetings, lots of exercise/play and joining her family when out for coffee.

She is a super friendly, happy and smart girl.

Ideal Owner
Active singles or couples with the time to walk, cuddle, play, and love her to bits.  Time poor people please look elsewhere.

While Lulu can cope alone she prefers the company of her human family.

Lulu would prefer to be the only permanent dog in the home so she can have all the love and attention.

While Lulu is good with kids we recommend homes where any kids are at least teenagers and only if gentle and calm around dogs. No dog deserves to be rough housed or exposed to a loud, chaotic environment. Lulu will give a warning growl if she is pulled, poked or tormented repeatedly - so would I !!

She will not suit homes where people live in very close proximity to each other with small outside areas e.g. villas, units, apartment complexes, terrace houses, strata complexes etc.

As Lulu is people orientated she needs to be part of family activities.

Lulu will not suit homes with residents that are:
  • very young, frail, elderly,
  • renters,
  • novice dog owners or
  • time poor.

Tolerance to Being Alone During the Day
Will alert to something strange but is not currently a nuisance barker.

Lulu will suit any of the following:
  • someone home more often than not.
  • someone that works from home.
  • part time workers.
  • empty nesters.
  • active retirees.

Exercise Requirements
Medium to high. She loves long walks, runs on the beach, trips to the dog park and requires daily exercise

When ON a lead ...
Like most dogs she may pull initially when excited but is generally well behaved. She loves long walks with the lead.

When OFF a lead ...
Her recall is generally good but like most dogs she can get distracted. As she has limited road sense she should be kept on a lead near traffic as a precaution.

Type of Yard Required
  • Medium to large interesting and secure.
  • May take advantage of an open gate and wander off but does not usually try and escape.
