More About Me
My Ideal Owner
Will suit people able to handle a strong, large dog. Ideal home is where people are around and where he can get regular exercise.
If you work full time he would prefer another friendly dog for company but will cope alone as long as he gets plenty of exercise and attention.
Not suit homes where residents are young, frail, elderly, time poor or renters.
Medium - playful and moderately active.
Likes to fetch a stick at the park, also likes to catch a ball.
When ON a lead ...
Like most dogs he starts off pulling but settles quickly.
A small person ie a child, may have difficulty controlling Ben.
When OFF a lead ...
He will usually stay close by and come when called.
Will obey a command to 'stay' most of the time but will get excited when he sees other dog.
Type of Yard Required
Medium to large interesting secure yard.
Tolerance to Being Alone During the Day
Only recently been left alone for 8hrs plus. Prefers human company but can cope alone. Gets exited when you get home. If you work full time he would love another friendly dog for company.
My Likes, Dislikes, Fears, Endearments and Quirks
Ben will play fetch with a ball all day. He also likes to sit at your feet. Favourite treats include fresh chicken, sardines, lactose free milk, liver cookies and raw eggs. Not much upsets Ben but he seems to dislike vacuum cleaners.
Ben is a great companion and very loyal. He will follow you around waiting for a command or a pat but he is not needy. Ben is smart and very well behaved. Of a morning he will wait for his usual treat of milk, liver cookies or a can of sardines.
Ben is not currently a nuisance barker or an escape artist. Recently dug the odd small hole due to boredom.
