Echo's Profile
Generally.
Echo is a gentle and friendly dog especially with his family. He is also very smart, outgoing, alert and reliable. He is adored for his loving nature and smoochy smile. We recommend he is the only dog in the home.

Ideal home.
Echo needs a medium to large secure yard. As he loves human company he would love a home with active seniors, retirees or middle aged people with older kids.

He will not suit homes where residents are very young, frail, elderly or time poor. This breed is not recommended for novice dog owners.

Other dogs?
Echo is fine on walks when on a lead as long as his owner is strong and in control.
He will need time to warm to the dogs of family members. He hasn't spent much time with other dogs off lead.

Cats?
No.

Kids?
Due to his size we recommend any kids be teenagers or older and only if gentle and calm.

Size.
45 kgs.

Exercise requirements?
Echo loves his strolls but is also happy with play-time at home.

How is this dog on a lead?
Like most dogs Echo starts off pulling but settles down. As he is a strong dog he requires a strong owner and without mobility issues.

How is this dog off the lead?
Echo has a tendency to take off.

Escape artist?
No

Nuisance barker or destructive?
No.

Toilet trained?
Yes

Tolerance to being alone.
Yes – he usually sleeps alone.

Likes.
Echo loves to be included in what his family are doing. He will follow you around the garden and sit by your side when it is time for a cuppa. He is very affectionate and thrives on cuddles, pats and scratches.

Dislikes.
During storms Echo will look for human company for a little reassurance. Like many dogs he does not like strangers rushing into his space.
