More About Me
Likes, Dislikes, Fears, Endearments and Quirks
This young Dalmatian cross doggy is affectionate, learns quickly and is very loyal. Denver has a heart of gold and is a beautiful soul.
In public Denver can be a little too friendly and eager to make new friends which other dogs may misinterpret.
On the flip side, at home Denver needs time to warm to strangers, especially men, but comes around quickly after some reassurance.
Denver does not like storms, strangers, water (hose, bucket, bath, sprinkler etc), loud bangs, baton looking toys or items that look like he could be hit with.
He just needs some time, patience and love to show him that the world isn't such a scary place.
Moderately active singles or couples home more often than not looking for a young companion to share both the the fresh outdoors and quality down time.
As Denver is an adolescent his new owner must be willing to continue his training.
Denver should be the only permanent dog in the home so he can have all the attention. While he is good with kids we recommend they be 12 years or older and only if gentle and calm around dogs.
Denver will not suit homes where people live in very close proximity to each other with small outside areas e.g. villas, units, apartment complexes, terrace houses, strata complexes etc.
As Denver is people orientated he needs to be part of family activities.
Denver will not suit homes with residents that are:
Tolerance to Being Alone During the Day
Will alert to something strange but is not currently a nuisance barker.
Denver will suit any of the following:
Medium - playful and moderately active. Denver is a fairly lazy boy. While he likes a wrestle he is not playful and doesn't chase balls or toys.
When ON a lead ...
Like most dogs Denver starts off pulling but settles.
When OFF a lead ...
Denver needs more work on his recall.
