Facts About Me
Breed Spoodle (Cocker Spaniel Poodle Cross)
More About Me
Likes, Dislikes, Fears, Endearments and Quirks
Ziggy the 'Spoodle' is a gentle, quiet and friendly dog who enjoys being in the company of his family.
While he likes being with people and other friendly dogs he is also happy to lie on his bed out of the way or quietly at your feet.
He doesn't jump up, has never nipped and is non shedding.
This gentle soul lost his fur-brother a year ago and now prefers to be in the background of a social setting.
Ziggy loves company, likes to be around people, watch the world go by and have a pat on the belly.
Ziggy can cope alone but as he prefers company why compromise? His new owner will need to be home more often then not e.g. active retirees or empty nesters. Ziggy will be fine with visiting kids as long as they are calm and gentle around dogs.
Even though Ziggy is great with youngsters, we recommend any permanent kids be 12 yrs or older because Ziggy would prefer a quiet, calm home without chaos, rough play or a loud environment.
Another permanent friendly dog would be nice but is not essential.
Ziggy will not suit homes where people live in very close proximity with court yards e.g. villas or units.
As Ziggy is people orientated he needs to be part of family activities.
He will not suit homes with residents that are very young, frail, elderly, renters or time poor.
Reason For Rehoming?
Owners are moving overseas into accommodation unsuitable for dogs.
Tolerance to Being Alone During the Day
Ziggy the Spoodle is quiet and rarely makes a sound.
He will suit any of the following:
He enjoys getting out for short strolls but if you miss a day playtime at home in an interesting garden will suffice.
When ON a lead ...
Like most dogs he starts off pulling but settles.
When OFF a lead ...
He will follow another dog if let off the lead, otherwise he will stay with the owner.
Type of Yard Required
Medium to large interesting and secure. No court yards or apartment balconies.
Ziggy may take advantage of an open gate and wander off but does not usually try and escape
