More About Us
Likes, Dislikes, Fears, Endearments and Quirks
Like most staffys, Chilli and Roxy are people orientated, loyal, loving and generally quiet, stable and trustworthy companions.

Chilli is affectionate, calm, very cuddly - likes to sleep and eat. He prefers peace and harmony. If there is a raised voice he will investigate and encourage reconciliation. * Usually indifferent to other dogs he is also wary.  He finds unrelenting harassment by small, yappy, busy dogs, irritating.

Roxy is also affectionate but more energetic, loves playtime and  running around - fetching balls, sticks and playing in water (river and the beach). She will sacrifice a treat to be able to chase a ball. * She is usually submissive around other dogs and rarely stands her ground when rough housed by uncontrollable dogs.

They are both highly intelligent, understand many words and numerous commands. The dogs will shadow you around the home - steadfast companions. They are also good in the car.

Chilli & Roxy have a long standing, deep rooted fear of thunderstorms and fireworks. They need soothing during these events or if alone, a safe place to retreat to.

Ideal Owner
Active singles or couples home more often than not looking for two happy, healthy, affectionate fur-kids.

While they can cope without their human family they prefer company. Full time workers (9am-5pm) will be considered as long as Chilli and Roxy are a central focus when people are home and there is a plan in the event of a thunderstorm.

While both staffys are good with kids we recommend homes where any kids are at least teenagers and only if gentle and calm around dogs. No dog deserves to be rough housed or exposed to a loud, chaotic environment.

They will not suit homes where people live in very close proximity to each other with small outside areas e.g. villas, units, apartment complexes, terrace houses, strata complexes etc.

As the dogs are people orientated they need to be part of family activities.

They will not suit homes with residents that are:
  • very young, frail, elderly,
  • renters,
  • novice dog owners or
  • time poor.
Tolerance to Being Alone During the Day
The dogs are quiet and rarely make a sound. However, they
will alert to something strange. They are not currently nuisance barkers.

The dogs will suit any of the following:
  • someone home more often than not.
  • someone that works from home.
  • part time workers.
  • empty nesters.
  • active retirees.
  • full time workers (9am-5pm) as long as the dogs are a central focus when folks are home.

Exercise Requirements
Medium - playful and moderately active. Roxy also loves to play and is more enthusiastic about daily walks.

When ON a lead ...
Chilli is well behaved.
Roxy, like most dogs, starts off pulling but settles.

When OFF a lead ...
They stay close by and come when called.

Type of Yard Required
  • Medium to large interesting and secure.
  • May take advantage of an open gate and wander off but do not usually try and escape.
  • Ok with shoulder height fencing.

Contractural Note
Cannot be separated after adoption in accordance with the Dog Adoption Terms and Conditions. Dog Adoption may ask for updates from time to time.

Reason For Rehoming?
They have been extremely well looked after and cherished members of the family. This regrettable rehoming is due to work pressure - they don't like being alone for 13hrs a day. This is an opportunity for a very lucky family to adopt two adorable Pedigree dogs.
